The Task Reports page is a feature of the Standard Plan only. Upgrade your plan from your Billing page.

Task Reports can be viewed by Admin & Manager level users. Admins will have the ability to view data for all sites, whereas Managers will be able to view the sites that they’ve been assigned to. More info on User Permissions here

As your operations scale and you add more tasks to your Trail, there’s more information that you need to keep an eye on and action on a daily basis.

This is where Task Reports comes in, a simple destination to keep track of all the important things. Here are some examples of how to use it:

  • Comparing and spot-checking food/equipment temperatures

  • Seeing all the photos and comments for a specific task across multiple sites

  • Checking the progress of an ongoing task e.g menu launch

  • Reviewing fire checks in all your sites across a long period

  • Viewing all your recent site audits

The Task Reports page contains a list of all the task instances since August 2020 of all the tasks in your account.

They’re ordered by start date, with the most recent start dates at the top of the list.

Reviewing Missed Tasks

With the shortcuts panel, it’s even easier to see which tasks have been completed early, late or missed altogether.

You can then filter by sites and add a time frame to see which sites are missing tasks often and offer them the support they need.

If you want even more granular information, filtering by tags allows you to see similarly grouped tasks.

One of the key components of effective task management is identifying and addressing missed tasks promptly. Trail's Task Reports can give users a detailed view of tasks missed by their deadlines. The Task Reports section allows users to review missed tasks across their sites, allowing them to take corrective action. Whether rescheduling the task, allocating additional resources, or adjusting priorities, Task Reports empower users to mitigate the impact of missed tasks.

Identifying Early Tasks

In addition to reviewing missed tasks, Task Reports in Trail also enable users to identify tasks that were completed ahead of schedule. While early task completion may seem positive, it can sometimes disrupt the team's workflow or lead to resource allocation challenges. Using Task Reports, users can easily identify tasks completed earlier than anticipated. This proactive approach allows users to reschedule subsequent tasks and check in with their teams accordingly.

Trail's Task Reports feature equips users with the tools they need to review missed tasks and early tasks effortlessly. By using Task Reports, admins can identify potential bottlenecks, address missed task deadlines promptly and optimise task schedules for enhanced efficiency.
