It's likely that some of your team members have different responsibilities to others. If this is the case, they might have individual logins or be assigned to a particular Custom Role.

Individual logins:

  • Ensure accountability. When a user completes a task or checklist item, it is automatically stamped with the name of that user.

  • Allow a user to receive specific Task Notification emails. With Task Notifications enabled for a particular user, you can ensure that they don't miss any important information about the tasks most relevant to them.

Custom Roles:

  • Give access to enhanced functionality within Trail. A Custom Role might create their own tasks, view Task Reports, or maintain the settings of the sites they are assigned to.

  • Allow tasks to be assigned to the role most qualified to complete them. Your General Managers, external support etc. can receive the tasks they need without distracting other users assigned to a site.

Custom Roles and Individual logins empower you to delegate tasks more effectively and ensure that the right employees have access to the right information and features within Trail. Once implemented, this functionality also allows you to easily report on the output of certain roles and users from Task Reports.

In combination with other filters or applied alone, simply add a filter for a particular role or user to see only the tasks that they have completed (or missed!)

Whether your goal is to spot critical lapses in task completion or reward high performing members of your team, reporting on User and Role performance in Trail can help get the job done.
