A locked task is a task with a setting applied so that the content of the task cannot be edited.

💡 Note: The Content Tab on the Task Editor is a Preview only and will allow you to view any changes to your content in real-time, and how the task will look to teams to complete. Tasks have to be completed on the Complete Tasks page, so attempting to complete tasks using the Preview on the Manage Tasks page will flag a 'This is a Preview' message.

  • Next to the 'More', 'Save Draft' & 'Publish' buttons there will be a padlock icon

  • Select the padlock icon & 'Publish changes'

What can be edited when a task is locked?

You can still edit:

  • The task schedule to determine when the task appears

  • Which sites the task is assigned to

  • Which users receive Task Completion Notification Emails

Why is a task locked?

  • The task has been predetermined by Health & Safety partners with approved regulatory content, which cannot be changed - eg. SFBB Library Task Template

  • If you are a franchisee, some task content may have been locked by your head office and centrally managed by them.

  • If you would like more information on whether you’re eligible to lock specific content on your Trail, or would like clarification on why your task has been locked, shoot us a message at support@trailapp.com
