Applying mandatory fields

When creating a Record Log, fields can be made mandatory by ticking the selection beneath the field you have chosen in the Task Editor.

This requires users to input essential information in the field before completing a task, mandatory fields help ensure that no important details are overlooked or omitted.

In addition to ensuring task completeness, mandatory fields play a crucial role in improving task accuracy by reducing the likelihood of errors or discrepancies.

You can spot mandatory fields by the red asterisk next to the field. You'll also see a warning message in the Record Log if a user attempts to complete the task without filling out the mandatory field.


If needed, the warning message beneath an incomplete mandatory field can be edited where the setting is applied:
