The comments box is a useful tool for you to add any relevant context or information for your records when completing a task.

For example, the comments box can be used to show what action has been taken when something goes wrong.

This could be:

  1. A corrective action e.g. β€˜fridge 2 broken down, engineer called and high risk food moved to working fridge’; or

  2. You were unable to complete a check e.g. β€˜maintenance being undertaken and could not read the fridge temperature, will record when work completed’.

An EHO will want to see the comments box being used as it helps to demonstrate compliance and reassure them that corrective action is consistently taken when something goes wrong.

Files & Photos can also be added to the comments box to provide extra information - more on how to do that here.

There's also information on deleting a comment here.
