The Task Reports page is a great way to get a detailed, yet simple, overview of specific tasks across your business. Using customisable views, you can build the reports that matter for your operations. With Task Reports, you can:

  • Compare and spot-check food/equipment temperatures

  • See all photos and comments for a specific task across multiple sites

  • Check the progress of ongoing tasks, such as a menu launch

  • Review fire checks at all your sites over an extended period

  • View all recent site audits

Whether a team member doesn't have access to Trail, you want to organise or manipulate data in a specific way, or you simply need to print reports, the Task Reports page offers options for downloading task data in both CSV and PDF formats.

How do I export my tasks as a PDF?

To download completed tasks as a PDF:

  • Choose filters to build your report.

  • Select 'Show All Content' to preview your selected content.

  • Click the 'Share' menu in the top right header on Task Reports.

  • Select 'Download PDF.'

  • Select tasks using the checkboxes next to each task, or use the bulk select menu (the large checkbox in the top right), which allows you to select 10 tasks at a time.

  • Click 'Preview.'

  • Download or print your report.

💡 Note: At the moment, attachments from record logs and comments (e.g. picture uploads) are not available to download. These are best viewed directly from the Task Reports page.

How do I export my tasks to a CSV?

To download completed tasks as a CSV:

  • Choose filters to build your report.

  • Select 'Show All Content' to preview your selected content.

  • Click the 'Share' menu in the top right header on Task Reports.

  • Select 'Download CSV' from the dropdown.

The report will be sent to the email associated with your Trail account. This may take a few minutes. If you don't receive it, please check your junk/spam folder!

Remember, the Task Reports page is a useful tool for any Admin, Manager, or Custom Role with access. If these team members aren't actively using the Task Reports page to manage their sites, you can engage them by sharing links to filtered views. Simply use the 'Share' button to send another Trail Admin, Manager, or Custom Role a link to your report. They’ll be able to see the direct view of what you've produced!

Even if a particular team member doesn't need to be involved in the minutiae of Trail, it might be useful for them to view Task Reports. Share these overviews with the team via PDF or CSV, or better yet, get them involved by sending an invite to Trail!
