You might have noticed that there are now two ways to log into Trail. This article breaks down the differences between them and helps you decide which option best suits your needs.

Think of it like having two different keys to the same building - both will get you in, but one gives you access to more rooms and facilities than the other.

Continue with Access (recommended)

What is it? 'Continue with Access' (also called Access Identity or Access SSO) is the newer login method that connects your Trail account to your broader Access account.

Why use it? When you log in this way, you get access to the Evo button and all the enhanced features that come with it, including:

  • Access to all your Access products in one place

  • Copilot

  • Feed notifications

  • Access to the Evo app (including push notifications)

Before you can use it You'll need to make sure your account has been linked to Access first. This means either:

Once your account is linked, simply click 'Continue with Access' on the login page and use your Access account credentials.

Email and password login

What is it? This is the traditional login method you may have been using before - entering your email address and password directly into Trail.

When might you use it? You can still use this method if you prefer, but you won't be able to access the Evo button or its features. You'll only see the core Trail functionality.

Important note The email address and password for this login method are not the same as your Access Identity credentials. These are separate login details that were set up specifically for Trail.

Which should I choose?

For most users, we recommend using 'Continue with Access' as it gives you the full Trail experience plus access to additional features.

However, if you're having trouble with the Access login or prefer to keep things simple, you can always fall back to the email and password method.

Troubleshooting

If you're having issues with either login method, try the following:

  • Check that your email address in Trail matches your Access email (ask your Admin for help with this or reach out to Support if you're not sure)

  • If 'Continue with Access' isn't working, you can temporarily use the email and password method while you sort out any issues

Remember, both login methods will get you into Trail - the main difference is what you can access once you're in.
